DESCRIPTION:Advocacy Council\n\nAdvocacy Council meeting next Tuesday\, January 14th\, 8:00am - 9:00am at the Chamber office. \n\n \n\nThis month\, Solano Transportation Authority's Executive Director\, Daryl Halls will be providing an update of transportation projects in Solano County\, including high priority projects such as the I-80 Managed Lanes Project\, which would add an additional 10 miles of new lanes in both directions between Airbase Parkway and I-505 in Vacaville. Mr. Halls will also provide an update of STA's programs to connect commuters with the many regional transit options\, including SolanoExpress\, Capitol Corridor\, and the San Francisco Bay Ferry.\n\n\n\n\n\nStrategy and Communication Plans\n\nVision: To be the Voice for business in the Fairfield and Suisun City region.\n\nMission: To assist the Chamber in being a strong and strategic advocate for its members\, while strengthening the economic vitality of area businesses and enhancing the quality of life in the community. \n\nGOALS AND STRATEGIES:\n\nIn addition to the mission and goals set forth by the Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce\, the Advocacy Council will enhance and more tightly focus its efforts to achieve specific strategic goals over the next two years. These include:\n\nSERVE AS THE VOICE FOR BUSINESS:\n\nThe Chamber advocates for business success and regional economic growth by promoting policy and funding decisions on behalf of its members to local\, state and federal government officials. \n\n\n	Promoting its positions on key local\, state\, and federal issues impacting businesses\;\n	Recruiting business-friendly candidates for elected officials\; \n	Working collaboratively with governement leaders to provide positive outcomes for its members
