USAF Band of the Golden West Chamber Players

The US Air Force Band of the Golden West presents a free concert on Friday, September 26th, 2014 at Salvation Army Kroc Center in Suisun City, CA. The show starts at 7:00PM and is a program of diverse styles featuring performances by talented musicians from the band?s various ensembles. The intimate setting of a chamber recital will provide Bay area listeners with a unique opportunity to enjoy the soloistic skills of these professional Airman musicians. Stationed at Travis Air Force Base, the band has performed for thousands of listeners in live concert appearances and for millions worldwide via numerous recordings plus television and radio broadcasts. The Chamber Players Recital will include soloists and small ensembles performing an assortment of music ranging from classical to folk and pop. With a little something to offer everyone, this concert is an excellent choice for family entertainment. This concert is presented absolutely free; however, tickets are required. The only active duty Air Force band west of the Rockies, the Band of the Golden West is comprised of 70 talented and versatile Airmen-musicians under the command of Captain Dustin M. Doyle. In addition to performing for civilian communities throughout the states of California, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah, the band supports 13 Air Force Bases, 8 Air Force Reserve Wings, and 6 recruiting squadrons in over 250 annual performances for 1.5 million listeners. The organization offers 7 outstanding performing groups: Concert Band, Ceremonial Marching Band, The Commanders jazz ensemble, Mobility popular music ensemble, The Blue Yonders folk rock band, Travis Brass quintet and Golden West Winds woodwind quintet. Additionally, the Band of the Golden West provides solo vocalists for the performance of our National Anthem and solo buglers for Taps details.
